PLUS Model Magazine Announces 5 Finalist in Model Search

PLUS Model Magazine brought it’s first West Coast Model Search to Love Your Body Day on October 24th, 2009 in West Hollywood, CA.

We met with countless beautiful ladies who came prepared to win the ultimate prize, a one year contract with Brand Model and Talent Agency, campaign with Hips and Curves and the cover of PLUS Model Magazine.

Our panel of judges which included, Actress Kendra C. Johnson, plus models Maggie Brown and Randi Graves, Creative Director at Large Mia Amber, Owner of Hips & Curves Rebecca Jennings and Lisamarie Audiss from Brand Model and Talent Agency.

PLUS Model Magazine Announces Chenese Lewis as Editor of 18PLUS

PLUS Model Magazine the premiere virtual magazine celebrating the plus size fashion, beauty, arts and plus size modeling industries is pleased to announce that Chenese Lewis has been named Editor of 18PLUS.

Approaching her second year as host of the extremely popular PLUS Model Radio, the #1 podcast for plus size women, Chenese is not only a familiar face to PLUS readers, but to the plus size community as a whole. She brings passion, dedication, and creative talent to her new position, combined with her industry expertise, she has quickly become one of the community’s quintessential experts able to lead as well as blend and connect the plus size industry with the plus size woman.

Always dedicated to pushing the envelope, PLUS Model Magazine plans to feature plus size models and entertainers size 18 and above in a section which will be called “18PLUS”, as a result of reader feedback. 18PLUS will be a new addition to PLUS Model Magazine starting in 2010, and has already been introduced in the PLUS Model Magazine Blog. PLUS has always included models and entertainers size 18 and above, but the new monthly section will further diverse each issue of PLUS Model Magazine to consistently show a wider range of plus size beauty.

Chenese Lewis is an actress, host, and plus size model. She made history by being the first woman crowned Miss Plus America in 2003 and as a plus size model she has modeled for many companies including Torrid, Kmart, and served as the celebrity face for Sizeappeal.
