Plus size models on the front row of Mahogany lifestyle catwalk show!

A success for Plus size bridal wear!Oui, I do, the company behind the successful label Voluptuous Brides is pleased to announce that they have finally risen to the challenge. They have managed to put Plus size models on the catwalk to promote their Bridal wear range!  Models were dressed in beautiful bridal dresses from their Voluptuous Collection.  And the crowd loved it!!

“Today, is a small victory, we are so pleased says Falaux – the founder of Voluptuous Brides. It’s been a long road and hard convincing”.  As the longest established Plus Size bridal boutique in London, they should know. Falaux says: “I remember a few years back when we launched our company, no one wanted to hear about Plus size brides. Now, not a month goes by without a feature appearing in a magazine. If only every bridal show could let us showcase our Plus size models, it would show the current shift in the industry.”

Voluptuous Brides was setup at the end of 2005, as a company supplying bridal dresses to Plus size brides. Back then the bridal manufacturers where not producing dresses that fitted these brides or their shapes.  A dress patterned on a size 8 would be enlarged to a size 24. Brides would then spend another £100 to alter the dresses to fit their shape.

“We have been listening to our clients, who complained that the dresses were not designed for them.  All collections are pictured on size 8 models and that does not help them in their choice. They want us to show what they are buying, and that‘s not a size 8. We work with companies who understand this dilemma, says Falaux”.

Under their Voluptuous Label dresses are cut to accommodate curves and are made to measure as standard to ensure a perfect fit.  To accommodate the growing demand of unhappy customers, they produce custom-made dresses that brides want to wear. “With their help we manufacture dresses that are a mismatch of the current offering to suit their individual taste.”
¼br> The models were perilously showing of their curves with proud.  They looked beautiful in their Ivory lace, burgundy taffeta and gorgeously decorated satin dresses. These girls are real, voluptuous and definitely beautiful. And if we listened to the crowd cheering them on and clapping, we’ll say they loved it too! This sunday was a success for Plus size bridal wear!
