Work Rest and Play Plus Sized Clothing (WRAP) joins forces with Curvy Revolution to launch new flagship store…
Sharona Radovsky and Andy Prentice, owners of successful online retail and wholesale shop Work Rest and Play Plus Sized Clothing (WRAP), are poised to open their new flagship store in Melbourne’s Bayside suburb of Mentone offering stylish and trendy fashions for the fuller figured woman- sizes 12-36.
Being a curvy girl all her life, and having to deal with the frustration of searching for clothing to compliment her body shape and age, were the inspiration behind Sharona and Andy’s desire to make a difference to others like her, so they set off on a mission to offer current fashions for all Australian women sized 12-36. With an obvious niche in the market that other retailers had neglected or chosen to turn their backs on, it was only a matter of time before the duo started to make waves.
With the successful growth of their retail and wholesale online business both in Australia and internationally, came the demand for their first retail store. Offering a full range of garments for every occasion, from casual to corporate wear, evening wear to lingerie, boots to belts, and with a new winter range in store, this truly is a must see destination for curvy women.
To launch the new store, they are hosting a plus size fashion show complete with size 16+ models. Sharona and Andy have found that their customers respond more positively to plus-size garments being modelled on women who reflect the true shape of the plus size industry, so when organising the plus size fashion show required models sized 16 and above.
Enter Janine Mison and Curvy Revolution.
Janine is the founder of Real Women Have Curves in Melbourne a successful business specialising in styling, shopping and motivational experiences for women size 16+. She runs organised tours, one-on-one consultations, styling advice, workshops and much more. She is the Australian Editor of an International Plus-size women’s magazine, consults to the industry and has established herself as an ambassador for the Curvy Women of Australia.
Janine is passionate about filling a void in the market by representing realistic large figured models that women can really identify with. She is poised to break the mould and push the boundaries with the launch of CURVY REVOLUTION, Australia’s first plus-size modelling agency representing the size 16+ women of Australia.
Janine will be styling and coordinating six realistic, identifiable and gorgeous Curvy Revolution models (size 16-24) who will be strutting their stuff, dressed in sensational WRAP garments on the Catwalk at the exclusive WRAP Launch Party on Saturday 8th May, 2010.
