Midlife Crisis and Adult Eating Disorders are they linked???

An article in the Cleveland, Ohio, Medcity News, by Samantha Gluck, states that pediatricians are seeing more and more very young children with eating disorders. However anorexia, bulimia and other eating-related disorders can start at any age.

It appears in many cases a major life change or crisis serves as the catalyst for the development of eating disorders.

Also some physicians theorise that hormonal imbalances occurring around the time of menopause may trigger behaviours that lead to full blown eating disorders in susceptible women.
