Telegraph fashion editor and expert, Hilary Alexander interviews Mark Fast at London Fashion Week about his use of plus size models.
In Hilary Alexander’s back stage interview with Mark Fast, she asks him of his use of plus size models and usual size models. Mark Fast explained that individuality and diversity should be portrayed on the catwalk, “my designs sculpt around the body and many women have different body shapes.”
Hilary agrees with the use of different shape and size models as it demonstrates that ‘ordinary’ people can wear the designs and that it is making fashion more accessible.
Fashion should be demonstrated in this way, and Mark Fast proves that many different size models can be used for his designs. Surely by appealing to women of all shapes, he has widened his demand and will increase his uptake of his designs.
