Magazine fights fatism!

Scarlet, the saucy monthly magazine for women has set up a petition to ban fatism on the television.
Magazine editor Sarah Hedley set up the petition after viewing an episode of Alan Carr’s Celebrity Ding Dong, in which he cruelly laughed and made fun at the size of Tracy Carr (no relation); she was used as a “prop” for the show. After calling Ofcom, she was told that programmes wouldn’t be investigated until enough people contacted them with complaints.
So Sarah set up her very own petition on the Scarlet website. Not only that she has also made the decision to feature a UK size 14 model in July’s fashion spread.
Hedley said: “That’s just the sort of woman we respect at Scarlet, and we have plans to feature more ‘plus-sized’ models in future. I’d like all women’s magazine editors to feature a variety of sizes throughout their pages.
“Our aim is to feature positive examples of all body shapes and sizes.”
You can sign the online petition at www.ScarletMagazine.co.uk, though hurry because come April 25th she’ll be forwarding it to Ofcom!

I SUPPORT THE BAN OF FATISM ON TV.
HOWEVER FEATURING A SIZE 14 MODEL IS NOT REALLY FEATURING OUTSIZE MODELS. NEED TO USE AN 18 PLUS MODEL TO HAVE REAL AFFECT.
I AM A SIZE 20/22 AND CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE ATTRACTIVE (SO DOES MY HUSBAND !!)
