Full figured fashion week panel to discuss the state of the curvy commmunity

After reporting about plus size women losing their retail options and hearing all the reports globally on the damage the economy is doing to the plus size fashion industry, the plus size community is now to fight back.

Plus size clothing is subsiding to online retail options only, with very little presence on the shop floor, especially in America. This seems to have come about just as the plus size woman had fought her way into getting fashion that was REALLY fashion – not over-sized frumpy clothing. The plus size woman had just got the fashion world to realise the potential in the curvy lady. It now seems all in vain as designers take away the plus size options ‘because they cost to much to make, and they are not selling.’

So, what can be done to solve the depleting market once more? Talk about it!

This year, in conjunction with the groundbreaking Full Figured Fashion Week, The Curvy Collective will host a panel discussion, “The State of the Curvy Community.”  Perfectly timed, in the midst of current news in the fashion world, this panel discussion will address the current state of the plus-size community and the significance of Full Figured Fashion Week, through the eyes of the industry’s leaders, bringing different perspectives from various experiences and points of view.

Sharon Quinn, “The Original Runway Diva,” will moderate the panel discussion. Accompanying her in this discussion is:
