27 year old Beth Ditto, front woman of indie-rock band The Gossip, is set to become the new face of plus-size fashion retailer Evans.

Being a larger woman herself Ditto has strong ideas about the fashion industry and how it caters for plus size people.

“She wants to show the world that big girls can have fun with fashion”

She reportedly turned down a £200,000 deal with high street retailer Topshop, after she criticised their sizing policies and the lack of styles available in larger sizes.

A source has said “She wants to show the world that big girls can have fun with fashion – and stick two fingers up to the size-zero brigade.”

Controversial fashion is something Ditto has made herself known for in the past, after sporting spandex cat-suits on stage and removing various items of clothing!
