An article in the Yorkshire Post discusses a new book regarding Body Image which has been written because of the big issue that this has become in our youth.
Nicky Hutchinson, behaviour expert and co-author of ‘Body Image in the Primary School’, says that both teachers and parents have a vital part to play in helping children develop healthy attitudes towards how they look.
With the rise in obesity causing issues with our young the same can be said when children as young as six are complaining they are fat and children as young as 8 are battling with eating disorders. Also children up to 11 are not happy with their body image
Now ‘body image’ has become such a big topic, this new book is calling for it to be tackled as early as primary school.
