Daily Venus Diva is the No.1 Lifestyle eMagazine for Plus Size that helps women all over the world ‘Thrive in their Curves’. I had the privilege of talking to the editor of the e-magazine, Stephanie, to discover what the magazine is all about and how it all started.

Daily Venus Diva is a fabulous name, where did it come from?
The name “Venus Diva” was coined back in 1998 and pays homage to the original patron saint of curves, the “Birth of Venus” by Botticelli. VenusDiva.com was revamped in Fall of this year to DailyVenusDiva.com to bring curvy women and teens a daily dose of everything curvy.

How did the concept for the magazine first come about?
Curvy women and teens needed a place to find articles, stories and inspiration to help them thrive in their curves… DailyVenusDiva.com is a complete lifestyle eMagazine that speaks to this audience, and through daily content, readers can look forward to receiving the tools
to live a well-rounded and exciting life.

What values have you implemented on the magazine?
When we inspire one woman or teen to live and move confidently in her curves, she becomes a role model for others.

Was it easy to find support to get the magazine to its readership?
With 62% of the population being considered plus size, absolutely!

How long has the magazine been up and running?
The original website started in October of 1998.

Has it gone through a lot of development to get it to where it is today?
Absolutely!  The Internet is a continually evolving medium… and websites must grow and thrive as well.

How many people do you have writing for you?
Currently we have a masthead of over five wonderful women as well as a number of contributing writers.

What do you love most about working for the magazine?
As the Editor of such an empowering magazine, I get to lead discussions with women about the things that matter to them.

What is your future dream for the magazine?
I would love to see us to continue to evolve in the direction we have and be the authority when it comes to Plus Size Living while celebrating everyday women.

As women, it’s so important that we continue to Thrive In Our Curves and not allow society to dictate what we should and should not be doing, which designers we should and should not be wearing.  Life is composed of so many elements and whether you’re plus size or not, you’re fabulous!
