Plus Size Fashion Update

hide and seek

I want to eliminate the boringness that has inhabited my wardrobe in recent months, I need a hit of colour, of something a little less dull and a little more funky. I feel dowdy and utterly uninspired every time I go to get dressed in the morning, so much so it has become a hindrance to dress myself, in clothes that I once loved and adored.

Why does this happen? I know everyone (including men) has this problem, it gets to the point where I wish they had holes in them so I no longer have to wear the same things day in, day out.

Instead of sitting in my boring wardrobe with my eyes closed like a small child playing hide and seek, I decided to get my Gok on and hit the online high street for some much needed retail therapy!

Fashion at a reasonable price for my curves has always been an issue, but I am happy to inform you that retailers are actually coming to grips with the fact that the average size woman is 14-16, that size zero is NOT healthy and we need clothes that don’t make us look bigger by putting us in tents.

Razzberrybazaar is a very cool and chic shopping experience. And if you’re not one for purchasing online, you can request a catalogue and flick through everyday at your own leisure or get a more personal touch and order via their phone line.

A little from the team; ” Razzberry Bazaar’s unique range of clothing focuses on style and originality. A ‘razzberry’ to the limitations of conventional large size and plus size women’s clothing, all garments are a brilliantly big free size with unstructured styling and extravagant use of fabric.

Our exclusive range is a fusion of loose, flowing Eastern-inspired shapes, beautiful fabrics and brilliant colours, generously styled to be both comfortable and flattering to confident and independent women of all shapes and sizes.

Designed and made in the north-east of England to offer the best of British quality and style, Razzberry Bazaar brings inspiring individuality to the world of large ladies’ fashion and plus size womenswear.”

I thought I would let the experts talk for themselves as, lets be fair, they can say it a lot better then I can and I actually believe them. You have to take a look at this site, it is very different to what I am used to but has some unique styles and bright colours – I particularly like their coats, jackets and basics, and although their items do look a little too much fabric in some cases, don’t forget to accessorise! They also have up to 50% off at the moment and an introductory offer of 10% off your first order!

My next port of call was Marisota, they have just released their summer collection. The amount of products they have is vast, so no matter what your style – whether you like pink summer suits or Spanish inspired evening dresses, I am sure you will find what you are looking for.

I would recommend doing an advanced search if you do know what you are looking for, narrowing your selection by size and colour will aid the process.

The company are well established as the UK’s leading home shopping company and are experts in providing plus size fashion. They sell lingerie, swimwear and shoes also, catering to all different shapes and sizes.

I am also looking for something that will provide a difference to my usual hum drum styles, maybe a little designer to supplement? Unfortunately, it is a little bit more difficult to obtain designer fashion online…actually I find it a little distressing sometimes because designers believe in the the personal touch and coming in-store to find the size that fits the best. I totally see where they are coming from, I mean where did our social abilities disappear to? We no longer know our neighbours and definitely have no idea who runs the local shop anymore… but that’s another rant entirely!

Back to fashion…designer gorgeousness; it doesn’t have to break the bank, so visit the little boutiques and research what designers you like online before searching out the stockists, that way you are being a lot more efficient and shopping on the street won’t be as stressful.

Emma Plus stocks an extensive range of women’s designer clothes. Whatever the season or the function, they boast experienced professional sales assistants that will help you choose the right clothes. You can view some of their range online.

“Our collection is younger – more focused – with an emphasis on natural fabrics. We source clothes from the best and most exciting designers, but we never forget the everyday practicality that’s necessary for your wardrobe. Sizes vary from 18 to 34 and over.

Our designers include: Almia, Angel Circle, Anna Scholz, BS Casuals, Elena Grunert, Elena Miro, James Lakeland, Kristina, Nanso, NP, Oui, Persona, Sallie Sahne, That’s Me, Verpass… and many more!”

Okay, so I am nearly done with my essay on the latest fashion houses, and I hope I have catered to all of you, whatever your style or shopping preference and there’s no doubt that I will be back with vengeance to feed you with more style savvy shopping, before I go here’s one more.
