Posted September 2, 2009This week, renowned plus size fashion designer, Lane Bryant will unveil a high-end fashion line inspired by couture from the runways of Paris, Milan and London. The new high-end fashion line includes wardrobe staples inspired by runways, but they won’t break the bank. Classic, yet chic, the “icon Collection” features must-have white shirts and a little black dress.
The retailer, which caters to women size 14 to 28, says its “icon Collection” is designed for the woman who seeks a higher level of sophistication, offering her the epitome of luxurious style in exclusive designs.
The folks at Lane Bryant say this collection is for the lady who wants to look like she belongs on the red carpet.
The Hollywood “it”-girl-inspired designs focus on detail and craftsmanship, while offering chic and modern recreations of classic styles.
The ladies are going to love key pieces in the collection like the “cold shoulder” blouse, the long double-placket riding coat, harem pants and the boho printed dress.
The clothing is definitely fashion-forward and chic, offered in vivid colors and flirty details. From the high-neck, sleeveless sheath dress to the ruffled-neck blouse, plus-sized women will have options they have never seen before. And the good news is that all the pieces retail between $68 and $178.
“These look like great transitional pieces,” customer Shelia Martinear of Mobile said while viewing a preview of the new collection.
“This clothing will easily go from the office to a night on the town. They’re beautiful. I would definitely wear them.”
The clothes make a bold, upscale statement, according to a statement from Lane Bryant President Brian Woolf.
“We are confident our devoted customers will be thrilled with the new collection and will be inspired to shop at Lane Bryant to add pieces from the collection to their wardrobes,” Woolf said in the statement.
The folks at Lane Bryant say they plan to continue to be one of the nation’s leading women’s specialty apparel retailers, offering not only career and casual apparel, but accessories, hosiery and intimates as well.
“Lane Bryant has always been committed to providing high-quality, fashion-forward styling that our customers want — the ‘icon Collection’ by Lane Bryant takes it to a whole new level,” Woolf said.
The “icon Collection” will appear today at select Lane Bryant stores across the country and online at www.lanebryant.com.
