5 Favourite Plus Size Party Wear Retailers!

I am so excited about Christmas, I adore all the colours and smells, like fires and rich berries and cinnamon but I also enjoy dressing up, there is no better time of year then winter to find rich coloured luxurious fabrics to dress in. So on that cosy note here are my top 5 plus size retailers with those perfect party dresses.

You can’t get anything better and easier than a dress! You only have to decide on one item to wear! No mixing and matching required here!

ASOS Curve is one of my favourite collections, I have loved ASOS since it decided to be more than just an on screen appearance website. With the introduction of their own label and now the Curve collection, it makes for easy shopping! I just wished they did more for the Curve but I am sure that will come. In the meantime I have chosen this stunning satin dress with one sleeve and flower that collects all the shades of fabric in its petals.

Evans is always on the list for me, the only quibble I have is the fact that they don’t picture their clothes on real people, they just photograph the garment and expect you to know what they will look like in the flesh. It has been much easier to shop from them since they started their blog and the catalogues help too. My favourite dress would have to be one of Beth Ditto’s designs, I love the black ruched jersey maxi dress, it could be dressed up or down and will no doubt last many parties to come! I think it will be great throughout the year too, paired with bright colour in the summer and glitter in the winter, it also has adjustable ruching detail.

I have to admit, this isn’t a place I have bought from yet so if you have then please get in contact! I know it is a spin off from Evans but it gives a different edge to buying online, I like the sophisticated simplicity of the website and this is my chosen dress (right) with drape panels and a hint of Gothic glamour. High heels and black nail varnish and I am on my way to the party!

Simply Be is not just about its own brand but also carries a lot of different brands including Frock and Frill, Gok Wan and Anna Scholz. I know I am always talking about Anna Scholz but she is most definitely my favourite designer and her collection for Simply Be makes her designs affordable and accessible. The dress I have chosen comes in purple or black with a draping long length fabric, it comes with removable straps too! At £70 it is ideal and versatile enough to wear to different events.

My final choice is Yours Clothing, I am not a regular to their website as I simply do not like the layout but they have launched some lovely party wear at very good prices. I have chosen a black maxi number with simple silver embellishment.

So tell me, what have you bought for the party season, or what do you plan on wearing?
