Mum’s The Word: Mother’s Day Competition
We had so many entries for our Mother’s Day Competition, from loving children all over the world, ranging from the ages of 5 to 50! I tell you I had tears in my eyes reading some… and a bawling Daisy is never an attractive office accessory!
So without further a do I would like to announce Pamela Wilson and her Mum Mima Wilson as our winners! Both from Edingburgh, Pamela had this to say about her Mum:
“I think my mum deserves this treat as she is the best. For the past 23 years she has looked after all her grandchildren to allow her Daughters to work. The oldest grandchild is nearly 24 and the youngest just 3. She takes the youngest on the bus to and from nursery every morning. My mum is always giving, whether it be doing the school run or shopping for the elderly lady downstairs. I think this would be a lovely way to let her know how much we all love her and appreciate just how much she does for us all.”
The luxury bouquets and other goodies are on their way to you now Mima! Hope you all have a lovely Mother’s Day, here are a selection of our other favourite entries…
“Always there when you need someone to help get you through the day, thats what makes my mum, the best a girl can get.” From Lorraine Bushnell for her Mum Janet, Reading UK.
“I would love my Mum to win this prize, she is a brilliant Mum, Grandma and best friend to both myself and my husband. She lives with us and helps out whenever we are struggling. I don’t know what we would do without her!” From Jennifer Langely for her Mum Margaret, Blackpool UK.
“My mum deserves all of the gifts, plus a lot more and lots of cuddles because shes the best mum in the world and my best friend!!” From Alexandra Cottem for her Mum, Wigan UK.
“Because she is the first to share, the first to laugh and the first to be there -when I need her.” From Louise aged 6 for her Mum Frances, Nottingham UK.
My Mum has never given up no matter how difficult life has been, she has brought up 2 children alone and is now the best Grandma as well the best Mum!” From Nik for his Mum Irene, Iowa USA.
“I think my mum is fab because although she is dissabled and cannot get out of the house I know she feels bad when we go out for days trips and she misses out… she makes up for it in so many other ways, she loves us all the same, gives us all her time and would sooner us have anything than to have something herself. we have a fab mum and love her so much.” From Ashleigh Waltham for her Mum Hayley, Spalding UK.
“My Mum is the best single parent my brother and I could have ever asked for, she never let us down and did everything she could to make us happy… now I hope if she wins this competition the lovely gifts will make her happy.” From Terry for his Mum Abigail, Derby UK.
