Childhood Obesity: 6 families needed for TV documentary

The term ‘Childhood Obesity’ is being used over and over by the media near enough everyday. We’re constantly being bombarded with statistics and guidelines regarding the weight of British children.

But what about the families that live with childhood obesity everyday of their lives?

The children who are bullied because of their size and told they’ll die before all their friends…
The parents who struggle to persuade their children to eat healthily, and buy them clothes that fit…

These families are usually portrayed as irresponsible, lazy people who deserve all they get! Until now…

Channel 4 have commissioned a documentary focused on families with obese children. The aim is to find out what it’s really like for obese children growing up in modern Britain. The series will be non-judgmental and wants to give a voice to the children and parents. This is not a lifestyle programme; the families will not be asked to try different diets or healthy eating plans.

The production company are looking for 6 families to take part. If you think your family fits the bill and you’d like some more information then get in touch with Nina Lowes via email at ninalowes@twentytwenty.tv or give her a call on 020 7284 1246.
