Congratulations Kirstie & Robert!

Well done to Kirstie Peake! Kirstie is our female winner of the Face of 100% People for our 4th quarter.

Profile

Name: Kirtsie Peake

Date of Birth: 10th December 1969

Location: Preston, Lancs

Occupation: Accountancy student

Dress size: 24

Kirstie had this to say:
“It was a very pleasant suprise to win the face of 100% People, I still don’t really believe it!  It’s lovely to be picked and to see that some people do look beyond size and see the person inside.  The website is a great support and inspiration to those of us who sometimes feel outside the “norm”, so I’m very proud to be chosen as the new face. I’ve just joined a gym to try and tone up a bit so the vouchers will enable me to buy some much needed clothes (hopefully in a smaller size!).  This has really given my confidence a boost and is a fantastic end to the year.  Thank you very much!”

Well done to Robert Hurd! Robert is our male winner of the Face of 100% People for our 4th quarter.

Profile

Name: Robert Hurd

Date of Birth: 15th July 1967

Location: Mansfield

Occupation: Support Worker for the homeless

Robert had this to say:
“I would love to win the competition as it would be great to win something, but also it would emphasise that what a person looks like on the outside is often superficial, but what a person is like on the inside – their character, personality and attitudes are a lot more important. Society today often pressurises people to try and look good on the outside, with regards to fashion, looks and style, but we need more real people, who are good role models, which is where I come in….hopefully!”

Well done to you both, best of luck with the gym Kirstie, if it’s anything like mine you’ll get a real buzz from going, it’s actually become part of my social network, by the way, Happy Birthday for the other day.

Also well said Robert, totally second that emotion about the person on the inside versus society pressure to look a certain way. I’ve watched a few of these model types on TV and there lies the other end of the weight issue scale as well as a number of people who are so wrapped up in themselves and they have little to no time for anyone else. Give me caring and sharing any day of the week.

Anyway, great to see you as the new faces, see you around.

    Tony
