Has Chloe Marshall dropped a dress size for the Miss England final?

Chloe Marshall shot to fame earlier this year, when she became the first ever plus-size Miss England entrant.

However, recent footage and photos of the brunette have sparked concern she may have lost weight. Whether, this was an intentional act for today’s Miss England Grand Final, who knows?

“No one is safe from the pressures of celebrity culture”

Representing Surrey, the teenager’s place in the competition initially created a big stir with journalists and bloggers across the internet. Most wrote positively regarding Chloe’s size and appearance, however, a select few set out to brand the trainee beautician “fat” and “unhealthy”.Chloe has always protested she is happy with her body and began a nationwide campaign to show young girls that curves are womanly, beautiful and most of all healthy.

Chloe said: “I wanted to make a bit of a statement. When I studied the other entrants for the competition I concluded that, pretty as they were, they were all uniformly blonde and Barbie doll-like.”

However, the launch of her new website plus recent footage of Chloe giving an interview with Five News has sparked concern that Miss Surrey has lost weight for the impending Miss England final.

Her recently launched website, www.chloemarshall.co.uk, states Chloe as a slimmer size 14. However, past and recent media coverage of the model has continued to state she is a size 16.

Although, a size 14 is still considerably larger than the majority of the other Miss England contestants, it’s worrying to think the young star may have fallen victim to the celebrity world.

Kathryn Whatton, Director of 100% People, has said: “100% People have backed Chloe since she first shot to media attention in the Spring. Seeing such a young girl speak so openly and positively about her weight and body image was very refreshing. If Chloe has dieted intentionally to lose weight for the final of Miss England it will be a huge shame. It just goes to show that no one is safe from the pressures of celebrity culture.”

Just to clear this issue up of my daughters apparent “weight loss”. Chloe has not lost any weight and did not diet for the miss england finals. the measurements were entered by the webdesigner, he was under pressure to have the web site launched for the 18th july and as chloe was unavailable for clarification of measurements he went ahead and put in provisional sizes, not only did it say she was a size 14 and 38 DD she also had size 3 feet! so from these measurements i think it is pretty clear to most people that they were wrong. with those measurements chloe would have a difficult time remaining up right! as soon as this mistake was bought to our attention it was rectified. Chloe is proud to be a size 16.
